Description 7age 16v Cam Belt 116T (Cam Belt only) Needed when mating a 4age 16v head onto a 7a block There is a lot of mis information out on the internet about which belt to use. Most go with a Porsche 944 117T timing belt but then are forced to use the 7afe oil pump rather than a 4age version. The problem with a 7afe oil pump is the gears inside are 30% smaller that the 4age oil pump gears, therefore reduced flow. The 7afe engine was only designed for low rpm, this is why the pump only needed small gears. This cam belt goes together with a 4age oil pump (16v or 20v silvertop) using the matching tensioner. The belt fits just like OEM It would also be best to get our re-cut crank sprocket to correct the timing on these engines.
